The Executive Committee (EC) meeting of the Federation held here under the NCLT appointed observer early this month has decided to hold the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on November 23.

The AGM will also be held under the neutral observer, Advocate Piyush Singh, appointed by the NCLT.

FHRAI has to complete the process of the AGM latest by November 30 as per the direction of the NCLT. The AGM will have only one-point agenda of passing the accounts. Confirming this one of the key functionaries of the Federation said that the permission of the NCLT is for this limited purpose of accounts approval.  The accounts approved by the EC have to be adopted by the AGM, he said.

The AGM will be held at Pride Plaza Hotel at Aerocity New Delhi from 2 pm.

The EC meeting of the Federation held earlier this month had passed the audited accounts of the Federation for presentation at the AGM. However, as per reliable information, strong objections were raised against expenses incurred under the legal fee head by members from the Eastern region. “The Presiding officer recorded our dissent. However, the same got passed on the basis of the numerical strength of others in the EC,” said an EC member from the East.

Generally, Presidentship of the Federation is rotated among the four regional chapters yearly basis. But the stalemate started after the last AGM and elections is yet to be resolved in the FHRAI.
