FICCI Taskforce on Fragrance announces its 2nd edition of the FICCI Fragrance Business Summit in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This edition’s theme is ‘Emerging Sustainable Opportunities- Inclusive Growth of Fragrance Industry’ scheduled for 5th October 2023 from 9 a.m. onwards at FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi. The Summit will share perspectives by various functionaries of the Government of India, Industry CEOs, research institutes, standards agencies, and business associations, from India and abroad, on key industry issues and opportunities and challenges.
The Fragrance and Flavour industry is a key growth sector in the country today. It has witnessed growth averaging 11% over the recent years and contributes in excess of 500m USD in a global market of USD 24 billion. The industry is expected to grow at an accelerated rate of 15% in the coming years.
Given the rising importance of this sector. FICCI along with BIS through this summit, aims to provide a single platform to all the relevant stakeholders of the fragrance value chain and encourage deliberations for the safe use of fragrance, sustainability, education and skill enhancement, scaling up exports and the regulatory environment.
FICCI Fragrance task force is chaired by Mr. Michael Carlos, Chairman Emeritus, IFRA (The International Fragrance Association), and co-chair by Ms. Bhuvana Nageshwaran, Director – F&F, Ultra International Limited.
