The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) in collaboration with ARISE IIP is to organise the forthcoming B2B Meetings on Business Opportunities in Africa scheduled for October 28, at Hotel Radisson Blu in Jammu.

ARISE IIP, a leading infrastructure developer in Africa, specializes in conceiving, financing, constructing, and operating integrated and tailor-made industrial zones. These ecosystems play a pivotal role in promoting industrialization within Africa, facilitating job generation and value addition to natural and agricultural resources.

The event offers an exclusive opportunity for businesses to explore the untapped potential of the African continent and unlock numerous avenues for growth under special government schemes.

Africa is endowed with an abundance of natural resources, including minerals, oil, gas, and fertile agricultural land. These resources present significant investment opportunities in a wide range of industries, such as mining, energy, textiles, agriculture, food processing, FMCG, and pharmaceuticals. With an ever-expanding middle class and a potential consumer spending of USD 2.2 trillion by 2030, as projected by the African Development Bank, Africa is poised to become one of the most profitable regions for foreign direct investment (FDI).

“India, as the second-largest trading partner of Africa globally, has played a pivotal role in strengthening the India-Africa relationship. Over the past two decades, India’s private sector has been at the forefront of investments in Africa, contributing approximately $54 billion, which amounts to around 19% of Africa’s foreign direct investment. Key sectors for collaboration include pharmaceuticals, ICT and services, the automobile industry, and the power sector”, said Manik Batra, Chairman, ASSOCHAM J&K Council.
